Greenwood Lake, N.Y. — Derek Jeter’s castle perched on the edge of a lake in New York is back on the market.

And the asking price for the waterside palace in the Hudson Valley is cheaper than ever.

Tiedemann Castle, Jeter’s castle retreat on Greenwood Lake, could be yours for $6,300,000. That’s less than half the jaw-dropping $14.75 million asking price the mansion was originally listed for when Jeter first tried to sell the property in 2018.

The castle at 14 Lake Shore Road in Greenwood Lake was most recently listed for sale on May 16, according to Zillow.

Built in 1915, Tiedemann Castle was remodeled by Jeter. The Yankees legend has left his mark on the sprawling 4-acre property: The vacation home comes with a baseball diamond-shaped infinity pool.

Like any good castle, the spacious mansion has turrets. It offers plenty of room to spread out — including into the guest house and pool house. Tiedemann Castle offers plenty of outdoor spaces to explore, including a lagoon and “extensive” gardens, according to its Wright Bros. Real Estate listing.

Despite its many amenities, no buyers have claimed Jeter’s castle during the estate’s six-year on-again, off-again journey on the market.

Jeter first listed the castle for sale in June 2018, according to Zillow records. The mansion’s for sale sign — and its $14,750,000 price tag — came down in November 2019 after more than a year without a sale.

Jeter tried to sell the property for a discounted $12.75 million in March 2021 and $9.5 million in April 2022, without luck. Then, the castle went up for auction in December 2022 with bids starting at $6.5 million.

But with no deal reached, Tiedemann Castle was once again taken off the market last July, Zillow records show.
