One city in N.Y. has been named hottest real estate market in U.S. — and it’s not where you think – SILive.com

Home sales in the U.S. have had their ups and downs throughout the year, typically peaking in the summer and slowing down in the winter. However, factors such as high home prices and mortgage interest rates of late are deterring many potential buyers from entering the buy and sell market.

According to according to Stacker, the median duration for a home to remain on the market was 49 days, which is three days longer than the previous year. Fast home sales can suggest a less favorable environment for buyers, demanding quick decision-making.

Buy/sell, rent/lease residential &
commercials real estate properties.

Stacker recently compiled a list of metropolitan areas where homes sold most the fastest in January, utilizing data sourced from Redfin. These areas, which include the main city and its surrounding suburbs, were ranked based on the median number of days homes were listed before being sold.

In cases of ties, priority was given to metros with higher overall home sales. Only areas with over 300 home sales were considered for inclusion in the analysis. See below the Top 50 list of the cities where homes sold the fastest.
