Florida housing market continues to struggle – WCJB

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – The struggling Florida housing market suffered another hit during the month of March.

The number of closed sales dropped in the Gainesville market by more than 14 percent compared to March of last year.

Buy/sell, rent/lease residential &
commercials real estate properties.

Sales slipped a percentage point in the Ocala market. However, buyers are still finding value in Marion County, driving up the average sales price by more than two percent.

Sales across the state dropped more than ten percent.

Gainesville -14.2% -4.3%
Ocala -0.8% +2.3%
Florida -10.4% +3.9%
